Me262A Non-mirrored Nose.

This pack contains the 3dz and .tpc files necessary to create an Me262A with a non-mirrored nose section. I think (and this is not an area I have studied so please don't give me a hard time about it) that the earlier Me262's carried the individual aircraft number on the nose section just aft of the cannon access panels, and that later aircraft carried them on the rear fuselage in the conventional way. Alternatively it may be that certain units chose to do it this way and not others. Either way, if you want to make an Me262 skin with the numbers on the nose, you may find these files useful.

It looks to me as if the mapping for the .pcx file of this model is unnecessarily complex, and would be a nasty job to skin, so I just used the EAW standard .pcx file and did what I had to do to it. I enclose a blank template file for you to do your own experiments on. Sadly I was unable to find space on the (very crowded) .pcx file to non-mirror the rear fuselage as well.

The 3dz files have already been modified by Serb to add the wireless aerial, loop and other antennae. God knows what they all did, but they have been faithfully reproduced by Serb. I have simply moved a couple of panel sections and that took me about a week.

The best of luck to you if you try to skin this beast.

Cheers
